At the Lost Loaf we have a simple belief – you get out what you put in.

Our aim is to use the best locally-sourced ingredients combined with skilled techniques, patience and hard work.

 

Our sourdoughs are all made by hand and their unique 36 hours’ fermentation develops beautiful flavours, a softer texture and great caramelised crust. This slower process also assists with the breakdown of the gluten proteins making our bread easily digestible. 

The Lost Loaf makes bread the way real bread should be made. We bake four days a week and only sell what we bake that day including French viennoiserie made from creamy Lescure butter. Available are our plain and almond croissants, custard-filled croissants, pain au chocolat and fruit danishes.

We also offer seasonal tarts, cakes, biscuits and doughnuts, filled baguette sandwiches for lunch and sourdough toast on the weekend served with a range of jams and spreads.
